Gen Z don’t like banks. Not one bit. So when it came to building a loyal customer base from the next generation, Halifax needed to change tack. It was time to dip their toe in the world of influencers.

It was also important to be super transparent and ditch any confusing bank jargon. That’s where ‘Money without the bank speak’ came in. It starred UK financial guru and popular Tik Tokker The Quid Squid.

It spoke to Gen Zers who are thinking about saving for their first home and offered simple strategies to get the ball rolling.

It also launched via TikTok, because we know Gen Z spend most of their time there.
